What’s Your Logo?

The story of the “harp” and the “hound”

When searching for the perfect name for our designs, we wanted something that evoked a sense of the Old World, a little antique and a little Irish, paying homage to our style of Celtic and vintage inspiration. We also wanted something that was personal to us, that had meaning to us as a family.

We decided on Harp and Hound Jewelry, to symbolize two of our family members, Dan’s wife Laura, and our first dog Loki. One of Laura’s hobbies is playing the Irish folk harp, and Loki is (probably) part hound (as well as part Husky and a few other things!). Loki now graces our logo as the column to an Irish harp, stylized in a Book of Kells inspired motif. This is a photo of the real Loki, who works part time as our moral support and full time as the goodest boy.
